Shipping Policies:
We charge for shipping almost exactly what the postal carrier charges us. Overseas packages
are discounted in shipping by 10%-20%, depending on size and distance. There is no charge
for handling -- not for the shipping box, not for the stuffing, not for the work of assembling
and sending. Just shipping.
Our shipping agents are FedEx and Canada Post (the national postal carrier of Canada). Wherever
possible and practical, we prefer FedEx. FedEx Ground coverage presently extends over the whole
of the United States. FedEx Air coverage includes the United States, Western Europe, Japan,
Hong Kong and some other areas. All other addresses are serviced by the government postal systems,
which cover every address in the world, including post office boxes. The rates are less than
the couriers and the coverage is greater. All packages of full Parcel weight are sent insured.
Shipping Tips: Volume vs Weight: Package volume is of greater importance than
package weight. Because puzzles are generally lightweight items, this can mean imposition
of a weight penalty by the shipping authorities. This is their way of gouging everybody for
rising fuel costs without officially raising rates.... What this often means is that you can buy
an extra puzzle or two without putting up the shipping portion of the purchase -- a half-empty
box is charged the same as a full box. And it means that sticking to puzzles from just one
manufacturer at a time can reduce shipping costs (because puzzles of the same shape can travel
together in a box).
Canada: Domestic packages are sent normally as Expedited Parcels, with a delivery
time of from 2 to 7 days. Overnight delivery is also possible within Canada.
USA: We use FedEx Ground for all US domestic deliveries. The point of departure is
effectively the depot at Syracuse NY. No address in the contiguous states is more than one week
away from this location. We welcome orders from US Military Service Personnel and their families
stationed overseas and have made provision for APO (Army Post Office) and FPO (Fleet Post Office)
addresses in zones AP (Pacific), AE (Europe) and AA (Americas). The US shipping zone includes
all its overseas territories and possessions (Puerto Rico, Guam, etc).
Europe: Air express parcels to Europe travel by FedEx and can arrive in as little as two
days. Our rates with FedEx to Europe are equal or lower than postal rates and the service is
faster. Surface parcels to Europe travel by ship and can take 8-12 weeks. They travel insured,
but they can take a long time and patience is required.
Western Hemisphere: Many other nations on this side of the world enjoy shipping
rates comparable to those for the USA. These packages are sent either as Small Packets
or Parcels, either Air or Surface. The cheapest rates are for packages sent here:
- All Caribbean Islands
- Bermuda
- Guatemala

Elsewhere: For other countries, shipping rates are about what one might expect.
JigBoxx discounts these rates by about 10%-20%. The whole of Western Europe is at one rate.
Surface rates are reasonable to most places, with a delivery time of about a month. The JigBoxx
server will calculate these rates for you, same as for all our other customers. If you have
any questions, just write to us at (admin@jigboxx.com)
and ask!
