![]() Accolade by E.B. Leighton 2000-pc jigsaw puzzle for US$ 42.00 Leighton, a painter on the periphery of the pre-Raphaelite movement, was known for his painstaking care right down to the minutest details. The heraldic blazon indicates that this man is a second son (the crescent) and that his squire is the lad propping up the shield in the shadows. We can imagine that the lady is Guinevere, though she is not identified as such. This painting has the additional bonus of including an interchange of looks, inviting us to step back in time, to be onlookers of the knighting ceremony, making us into yet another loyal shield arm.
